WENTWORTH CASTLE

The name “Wentworth Castle” derived from its owner, General Marshall Wentworth and his wife, Georgia. They commissioned a well known New York architect, William Bates to build this castle for them. The exterior of the Castle boasts native stones taken from the Wildcat River. There are 6 bedrooms and 7 fireplaces in the castle. It was completely renovated in 1959, very little changed. The present owners’ have also completed many improvements.
