THE CASTLE Bed & Breakfast

The Castle Bed and Breakfast is located in Mount Savage Maryland. It was built in 1840 as a plain stone house. Just before the turn of the century, the house was purchased by a man from Scotland by the name of Andrew Ramsey who turned it into a replica of Craig Castle, which he had seen near his home in Scotland. A sixteen foot wall surrounds the entire property. In 1984, the structure was renovated and turned into the bed & breakfast that it is today.

{{Castlefinder note!}}
We visited this castle in March of 1999. Although the house is more what I would consider to be a Scottish Manor House than a castle as I would define it, it has a high stone wall surrounding it that gives it a castle feel and if you're looking for a "wee bit o Scotland" you can find it here.
