I am looking for information on a Castle in Hartwell Missouri It was called the E.C. Steele Castle My grand parents were married there Any help you can give me will be appreciated.
Later, I received E-Mail that said:
I drove by this property on Saturday. It is located up on a hill on the south side of Hartville, MO on Steele Road. The locals call it Steele Mansion. I took a few pictures, however, it is privately owned and posted for no trespassing. The grounds are lined with trees, so a decent shot was almost non-existant. It was not as impressive as some would like to think. I have heard, though, that it has many secret rooms and tunnels underneath the house.

I have been to the steele mansion in hartville missouri about 4 years ago on halloween. A lot of my friends told me that it was haunted and that the people that live there would shot me if I went on the property. well they dared me to go up to the door and knock and say trick-or-treat. well I did and the little old lady that came to the door was as sweet as can be. she gave me a huge bag of mini snickers candybar. and then her dog ran out the door to greet me I gave it a pat on the head and told the lady thank you and I ask her if one day I could take a tour of the place. she said the if I see a red dodge ram in the driveway it means her son is over and that he would give me a tour.... well I moved since then and have not been back but I thought I would let you know what I knew.
Does anyone know more about this?
