On 7-18-06, I received E-Mail that said:
There is another Castle in Fernley on 1-80 east bound just outside of fernley heading towards fallon the long way, it was built by a man years ago and he spent years working on it.. used rocks from the hills around him on it, I have been in it when it was empty, it was 2 stories and was on the hill side.. was more of a Keep.
It had a largish open area on the bottom floor, like a combined kitchen/living room/dining room, then a set of stairs that lead up to a loft ledge which I would assume is the bedroom.
On the outside was a walkway leading to the roof, the front of the keep had lots of glass windows and was amazing because it was built right into the mountain... even carved out rock from the back to create more space in the inside.
Someone bought it and has been working on it but they have big blue tarps around it so I dont know if they are messing it up or adding to it, I dont have any pictures of this keep but if you can find someone who does that would rock.
Does anyone have more info on this?
