NEW RIVER CASTLE

On 8-31-06, I received E-Mail that said:

The New River Castle is located on the New River near Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The original structure was built 1920 circa and converted to the castle in the early 50's? The castle is made of coral and is now being renovated into a guest house. The property has been overgrown for many years and so the castle was not visible from the river. In the past month (August 2006) the land has been cleared and vessels on the river can now see the castle again.

We researched the castle at the Ft. Lauderdale Historical Society to confirm that it was on the tax rolls in the 20's but would be very interested to know if anyone has old photos or other information.
