On 9-11-07, I received E-Mail that said:

I am E-mailing you because, there is a new castle being build in Seagrove, North Carolina (not very big one). It will be a Bed & Breakfast. The web page is http://www.knightswoodmanor.com/.

On 6-22-08, I received e-mail that said:

We have moved in the house and still have a ways to go- we are still painting and unpacking. Due to the SCA schedule we are going to go forward with the open hose and hope for the best! As I just said we are however having an open house on 7/12/08 and wanted to let you know. Below is an email we sent out to prospective venders to set up that day. I have attached it to give you an overview.

Here is a short run down of what is taking place on July 12, 2008. We are having an open house for our new Bed and Breakfast -"Knightswood Manor" . Located at 1282 Little River Road Asheboro.

The SCA will be hosting events from 10 am -5 pm. The Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA) is a non-profit educational organization devoted to the study of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. It is part of the "living history" movement, which means that members try to reproduce various aspects of the culture and technology of their period, as well as doing more traditional historical research. The SCA sponsors events such as tournaments, feasts, and university sessions where members dress according to medieval and Renaissance styles, and participate in activities based on the civil and martial skills of the period.

Booths will be set up with venders who will provide natural soaps and lotions, jewelers, period dancing, weaving, stained glass, heraldic garb, tarot card reader, snack venders, a photographer and a DJ. These are some of the ones who have committed and we are seeking others. The SCA will demonstrate period heavy fighting, Archery display, period games, medieval music, Forge and metalworking, a falconry exhibition (short classes). The SCA and ourselves will be dressed in renaissance costumes and we encourage others to do so as well. I am attempting to get in contact with the Humane Society and charge an entrance fee of Dog & Cat food. The Humane Society, the care takers for animals need all the help they can get.We also have Zimmerman Vineyards who will be on site doing a wine tasting inside the home at the bar.
