GLEN ELLEN CASTLE

I received E-Mail that said:

There was a castle called Glen Ellen near Towson, MD, but it was abandoned around 1920 when the Loch Raven Dam was erected. There may still be some ruins visible at times of low water (such as the present drought). I'd be interested in any info you may have. I have not yet done any extensive searching. I have some information in a history of Baltimore County.

Later, I received E-Mail that said:

I found a good history here:

I haven't found a picture, but maybe it looked much like the Cloisters, which was built with some of its remains.

Later, I received E-Mail that said:

I have a page for you , it is nothing but old photographs from Baltimore County Maryland ! I am currently working on the page helping to edit the captions. It has many photographs of Glen Ellen and other places you have mentioned in your web page . Enjoy ! http://external.bcpl.lib.md.us/hcdo/lw_home.html
