UNKNOWN CASTLE

There's a striking castle in a rural/suburban area of Wellington, Florida that I drove past a few years ago. Since I didn't see it on your list I just scouted it out on Bing Maps and it's on the South side of Norris Road (off Flying Cow Road). You can spot it quite easily in Birds Eye view. It is a modest suburban sized castle, has two turrets. I hope you enjoy it! Congratulations on creating your own castle--what an awesome thing to do.

I came upon this amazing castle while taking a road I'd never seen before. Only 8 miles from my home yet never knew it existed. Surrounded by wire and looking long abandoned, I just had to get a closer look. Beautiful and unexpected, I couldn't help but be drawn to this 17th century castle replica on the edge of the Everglades. I plan to return, closer to dusk and photograph it with the setting, pink Florida sun peeking through the large trees that seem to embrace this amazing castle and it's secrets.

I found the castle on zillow.com:

It appears to be unfinished and run down :(

I noticed you had a call for information on this castle on the relevant page. Here’s a 2 year old newspaper article about the castle and its builder. According to the local property tax website he’s still there.

I first noticed the castle about 12 years ago when I was driving around that neighborhood. I love the way it sits on the site.

{{Castlefinder note!}}
Does anyone know anything about this? Does it have a name?
