CURWOOD CASTLE

Curwood Castle is located in Owosso Michigan. It was built for author James Oliver Curwood who used the castle as a writing studio. Curwood wrote many books. Many were made into movies including "The Bear".

It is said that Curwood Castle is Owosso's most unique historical landmark. The Castle is located in Curwood Castle Park overlooking the Shiawassee River and is open to the public 1-5 p.m. daily except Monday.

Castles are more than just buildings, they're historical landmarks.  From the exterior stonework, to the living room furniture, there are plenty of priceless images to take with you if you ever visit one.  The newer castles even have modern wiring, heating and television
