I received E-Mail from Katrina Price telling me of the existence of Blackrock Castle.
Later, I received E-Mail that said:
While looking at your site I noticed that you had a castle listing in Connecticut for Black Rock Castle. You may want to consider removing this reference because Black Rock Castle is nothing more than a restaurant & bar that just has castle in its name. In fact the building is just a plain old store front that has had a few embellishments made to it so that it might hold a very loose look of a castle front. I know this because I live 20 miles from it.
Later, I received E-Mail which said:
I sent you the e-mail detailed below a long time ago and I was planning on getting a picture to you of Black Rock Castle then, but unfortunate circumstances prevented me from doing so till now. Enclosed are two pictures of the place. Like I said it is just a brick store front made to look like a castle that houses a bar and grill. A good one tho!
On 6-23-07, I received E-Mail that said:
Blackrock Castle in Bridgeport, CT is a bar and restuarant started by an Irish person, who took the name of the bar from the Blackrock Castle that guards the harbor entrance to Cork City in Ireland.
I think I agree with Mr. Godlewski, it's not really a castle. I will leave it on the webpage at least for now.
